About the Windows Fundamentals Module
SOC analysts encounter many different technologies and systems due to their work. They should be familiar with all these systems they encounter. One of these systems is Windows. Windows operating system is an operating system that has been developed commercially for a long time and is becoming more common day by day. It is very important to understand the capabilities and features of the operating system so that effective steps can be taken on the defensive side in the event of attackers targeting Windows operating systems because the system could easily be compromised or critical information could be obtained from the system by abusing an existing feature of the operating system. In these types of breach incidents, SOC analysts need to have some knowledge of the operating system in order to make sense of the threats and resolve the case. In addition, since there may be many other Windows devices in the organization, a Windows host review may be required from time to time. A certain level of Windows basics is required to perform these reviews.
This training covers all the basic Windows topics that all cyber security SOC analysts should know. It is recommended that the candidates complete all the subjects in this training without skipping to be able to have practice on the basic subjects at the end of the training.
